Biography – Biographie
Born in Bromley, South East London, I began my musical training at the age of 6 by taking up the cello. Whilst still in primary school, I chose the clarinet as my next instrument and then later at the age of 11 added the drums. Playing in ensembles, orchestras and singing in choirs at school and at the Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT) very quickly became part of my daily routine. At the age of 17, after auditioning for the musical Rent, I received my first solo coaching to prepare for the role of Collins. A last-minute change of heart gave me the impetus to apply for musical theatre degrees and I studied for three years at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich.
This was followed by studies on the B(mus) Classical Voice and M(mus) Opera courses at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig with Prof. Berthold Schmid.
Theatre and concert engagements have allowed me to perform at the Händelfestspiele, the Opera Chemnitz, Landesbühnen Sachsen, Central Theatre Leipzig, The Capitol in Mannheim, as well as venues in the UK, the US, Spain and Finland.
Geboren wurde ich in Bromley, Südost-London. Schon mit 6 Jahren interessierte ich mich für das Cello und legte damit den Grundstein für meine musikalische Ausbildung. Noch während der Grundschulzeit, nahm ich Klarinettenunterricht und dann, im Alter von 11 Jahren, kam das Schlagzeug als Instrument hinzu. Mein Leben mit Musik wurde schnell zum Alltag durch das Spielen in Ensembles, Orchestern und das Singen in Chören in der Schule und beim Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT).
Im Alter von 17 Jahren, bekam ich die Rolle von Collins in dem Musical Rent, und erhielt gleichzeitig erste Solostimmen-Coachings, um mich auf die Rolle des Collins gut vorbereiten zu können. Während dieser Zeit vollzug sich ein Sinneswandel in mir und gab mir den Anstoß, mich für ein Musiktheater-Studium zu bewerben in Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, wo ich drei Jahre lang studierte.
Meine B(Mus) Gesang und M(mus) Operngesang Abschlüsse erwarb ich an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig wo ich unter Prof. Berthold Schmid 6 Jahre studierte.
Meine Auftritte in Theater- und Konzertengagements liessen mich u.a. teilnehmen an den Händelfestspielen, der Oper Chemnitz, Landesbühnen Sachsen, Schauspielhaus Leipzig, Capitol in Mannheim sowie an Auftritten in zahlreichen Spielstätten im Ausland wie USA, GB, Spanien und Finnland.
